I’m sure you got a little curious with the title of this post but I’m not going to be talking about relationship goals that you would have as far as a significant other, this is about our relationship with the Father! I want to tell you about Him because it’s really the only One you will find a love that you will never find on earth! That’s right, I said never.
“Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who trusts in Him!” Psalms 34:8 If you’ve read my testimony, I have expressed that when I was living in the world and not serving Christ, I felt out of place and so empty. I felt like I was confused and anxious about everything. Something God showed me is that we are like fish out of water when we don’t have Jesus in our lives. I don’t care if you think you got the best life and everything you need. You are really nothing without Jesus in your life. I said what I said. Something is lacking. This is why we should abide in Him because He is the true vine and we cannot bear fruit by ourselves. John 15:4 stays “Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.”
This relationship with Christ allows us to hear Him clearly on how we can stay in His will. If you’re questioning if God can speak back, the answer is yes. He speaks all the time. But if we don’t spend enough time with Him, we won’t know what He says. Think of it this way, if you’re dating someone and the only time you really spend with them is on Sunday for 2 hours and that’s it, would you consider that a relationship? Not really, right? God is to be put first above everything and everyone. God is not a genie and unfortunately, people use Him as such. They only call on His name when they need something but the rest of the time, they don’t even speak to Him. Or you have some people who claim to give glory to God but they only use His name to bring glory to themselves. “These people draw near to Me with their mouth, And honor Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me. And in vain they worship Me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.” Matthew 15:8-9
In the times we are going in, you won’t make it without God. Spend time with Him daily. Read your word, fast and pray. God wants an intimate relationship with us. Seek Him!
Be encouraged in Jesus name!
